On Reception

Messaging

On Reception texts business owners about their own business. It may also send a caller one answer they asked to receive, after the caller expressly agrees during the call.

Who gets messages

Business owners receive messages only at a verified number after opting in during setup or starting a text conversation themselves. A caller may receive one requested answer at the number they confirm during the call. That permission applies only to that answer.

What the messages are

How often

It follows the business’s own phone. A quiet week may be no messages at all; a busy one is a handful a day. Conversation replies arrive only in answer to a message sent first.

Cost

Message and data rates may apply. On Reception does not charge for messages; a mobile carrier may.

Stopping them

Reply STOP to any message and they end immediately. Reply HELP for help, or write to help@onreception.com. Stopping messages does not stop the receptionist answering the phone. For callers, STOP cancels the requested answer and blocks further caller texts to that number for the business unless fresh consent is given.

Carriers

Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
